Another niche I have yet to find on Twitter is that it is as powerful as it is in the LinkedIn forum of financial advisors and their favorite topics about serving their clients and developing their practices.

The Human Side of Money

Last year, I met a thoughtful mentor named Brendan Frazier who has become the team's mainstay with his podcast The Man's Money Side and his tireless posting and re-sharing of good content on LinkedIn. Brendan is also an economic follower of ethics and a perceived bias that works for us or prevents us from making long-term plans and decisions.

But his podcast goes further than that thanks to talented and loving visitors who come in and talk about their unique ways of serving customers. One common theme is that a good mentor takes his clients through a systematic approach that is customer-focused and based on multiple questions and listens closely to get answers, and then reveals layers of answers with additional questions.

Not just about clients ’goals, aspirations, and dreams, but also about their conflicts, obstacles, and worries. In other words, they all seem to have a strong angle to emotional intelligence as a way to find out what clients want and what they need to change, possibly in their behavior, to get what they want.

Even if you are not in the market to find a new financial advisor, you should check Brendan's feed on LI and his podcast to learn what your current advisor can do better for you and your finances.

Money, Crypto, and New Experiences - Like the Bear Markets - in Gen Z

Today, I introduce the Mind Over Money audience to a budding financial advisor I found on the Brendan Frazier track and the Human Side of Money crowd. Zechariah Schaefer's profile on LinkedIn describes him as "Gen Zone's Only Financial Adviser and Millennial Investor" with a focus on STEM and healthcare professionals.

He also emphasizes Cryptocurrency advice, as he and his team were the first generation to be interested in and play in that new asset class since high school.

Zechariah is the founder and principal of Ascent Personal Finance consulting firm. In the podcast, I start by asking him about a few pieces of content he posted on LinkedIn recently that show his approach to working with clients, including his childhood experience in both wealth and poverty.

He also discusses the news of his initial fascination with Bitcoin where he made a small amount of money (himself) but was still unhappy with how the opportunity for a college finance class changed his view of the software geek into a dedicated fiduciary. .

What I love about Zechariah’s passions and focus - did I mention he also loves mountaineering and will be moving to Colorado soon? - that you are right about what your fellow Gen Z professionals are going through in their professional life, but you are also on the verge of going to "ET Economy".

E.T. The economy

In my 2017 podcast E.T. Economy: Disruptive Technology and Purchasing Behavior, I have made ET represent two major concepts of the 21st century emerging economy: Exponential Technology as highlighted by Peter Diamandis and Steven Kotler in their books Abundance and Bold, and Experience + Transformation as we have seen all new disruptive technologies that change the industry and consumer behavior with new types of services, entertainment, shopping, mobility, and mobile device capabilities.

Many people respond by saying, “How do you feel about that?” I would just like to explain that the in-depth R&D performed by NVIDIA NVDA and Lisa Su's Advanced Micro Devices AMD by GPU semiconductors for gaming consoles and PCs further enhanced the in-depth learning and machine learning transformation.

And Jensen Huang at NVIDIA built the Omniverse buildings long before Zuck dreamed of his Metaverse.

This is the land that many of Zechariah's clients live in. They either grew up playing, and / or now have creative software roles in the industry from hyperscale AI datacenters to SaaS startups. And all of this is where the next big growth comes from Technology Super Cycle.

In 2018, I spoke on “100 Billion Religion: Video Games and Youth Culture” and now that market is close to $ 200 billion this year. Microsoft thinks it is such a big part of the ET Economy that they were willing to bet on $ 68 billion to swallow Activision Blizzard ATVI.
